The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), Lagos Zonal workplace, has arrested a Nigeria Immigration Service officer, Mr Adebimpe Kehinde, for his alleged involvement in passport racketeering.
EFCC appearing spokesman, Mr Tony Orilade in an announcement in Abuja on Thursday stated that Kehinde is an Immigration Assistant, NAN studies.
In keeping with Orilade, Kehinde was arrested alongside 14 different suspected passport racketeers following intelligence studies obtained by the Fee.
The suspects are Nnadika Timothy, Oyeyiga Samuel, Sunday Adekunle, Lola Kadoso, Adebayo Damilola, Adeola Oluwafikayomi Ajiboshin, Abubakri Adebayo.
Others are Uka Ifeanyi, Raph Emeka Ibuaku, Henry Onyebuchi, Christy Odey, Aba-Peter Blessing, Ogunmefun Oluwanishola and Busayo Balogun.
Orilade stated that the suspects allegedly conspired to extort cash from unsuspecting members of the general public making use of for worldwide passports.
