Two Nigerians have been stabbed to loss of life in South Africa, in keeping with newest studies.
Goziem Akpenyi and Bonny Iwuoha, had been killed within the wake of a newly woke up xenophobic assault in Johannesburg and Cape City on Friday and Saturday.
The murders had been confirmed by Odefa Ikele, assistant public relations officer, Nigeria Union in South Africa (NUSA), saying the killings had been reported and a homicide case already opened at Booysens police station in Johannesburg South.
“The Nigerian neighborhood misplaced two residents to ugly murders over the weekend,” Ikele stated.
“Mr Bonny Iwuoha, 48, from Ihitte/Uboma in Imo state, was stabbed to loss of life at about 11:45 pm on April 6, 2019 in Johannesburg South.
“We gathered that his assailants adopted him from 152 Hay Avenue Turffontein, and thereafter, stabbed and killed him in entrance of his gate at Turf Street, Turffontein.
“The killing was witnessed by Izochukwu Nwokocha, also called, Nwa Father.
“Akpenyi was allegedly stabbed to loss of life by three unknown colored South African males after an argument with the deceased.
“The incident came about at Bellville Stadium parking zone in Cape City at about 1 pm on Friday, April 5, 2019.
“These newest killings provides to 4 different Nigerians who had been shot lifeless in March. Three of the victims had been murdered in Sunnyside, Pretoria and one in Balfour Park, Johannesburg.
“We name on the Nigerian authorities to impress on their South African counterpart that the killings should be investigated and the culprits prosecuted.”
