Army Arrests 24 Suspects for Snatching Ballot Boxes


The Nigerian Army said it captured no less than 24 suspects regarding appointive offenses amid the Saturday Governorship and House Assembly decisions in Imo, Abia and Cross River.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Sagir Musa, the military representative said 15 suspects were captured in Abia.

Mr Musa said of the 15 suspects, five were political hooligans, captured at Lokpanta while on their approach to disturb decision at Lekwesi people group.

The military representative said disguise pants, blades and arranged charms were recouped from them.

He said the other six suspects were captured at Osisioma intersection while they were going with thumb printed ballot papers in were in their car.
