Men Who Raped Married Woman In Benue Arrested


The Benue State Commissioner of Police, Mr Omololu Bishi, has mentioned the command has arrested two suspects, Tersoo Joseph, aka Adikpo, and Demenenge Iorwa, for allegedly raping a married lady and robbing her.
Bishi mentioned, “On February 9, 2019, round 6pm, some armed robbers working on a motorbike behind the Bem Lodges, Ankpa Quarters, Makurdi, kidnapped a girl and took her to the Quararafa Quarters, Wadata, the place they raped and robbed her of a telephone and N2,000.
“Throughout investigation, Tersoo Joseph, aka Adikpo, and Demenenge Iorwa, of Brand 1, Makurd, have been arrested in reference to the case. The suspects have confessed to the crime.”
The CP mentioned the command had additionally arrested Justice Agada, 25; Emmanuel Patrick, 21; Emmanuel Atoju, 19; and Stanley Ugochukwu, 20, of various addresses, for involvement in cultism and armed theft.
He defined that the suspects have been arrested by policemen on patrol at their hideout alongside the Onitsha Road, Wurukum.
He added that policemen recovered two locally-fabricated pistols, two dwell cartridges, one knife and 7 wraps of leaves suspected to be hashish sativa from the suspects.
Bishi said that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects belonged to numerous cult teams and have been answerable for robbing members of the general public of their cash, telephones, purses and different valuables.
He additionally mentioned one David Nule of the Buruku Native Authorities Space was intercepted and arrested by policemen with an English-made double-barrelled gun hid in a haversack, including that the suspect was apprehended for armed theft and unlawful possession of firearm.
Acording to the CP, the command additionally arrested Johnson Ekoja, Emmanuel Ogiri and Anthony Ojela in reference to a theft incident at No. 24 Jokpama Road, Otukpo, on February 18, 2019, including that the suspects robbed their sufferer of N275,000 and a Samsung telephone.
