Judge Threatens To Jail Obanikoro Over Fayose

The N2.2bn coercion primer of the brief past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, was backed off on Thursday due to the nonattendance of the arraignment’s star eyewitness, Musiliu Obanikoro.

The arraigning counsel for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), told the judge that Obanikoro, who was in court just on Tuesday certifying against Fayose, had been hospitalized.

Jacobs acquainted with the court a therapeutic report from an Ikoyi facility, communicating that Obanikoro was unwell.

Regardless, tolerating the report with doubts, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun said it is encouraged to been veritable or the medicinal facility and the authority that issued it took a risk with the loss of their licenses, if the court checked the report and it was not valid.

While conceding the case till March 18, Justice Olatoregun said Obanikoro should unfailingly come to court, or bet being centered around prison for three months, “with the objective that he can be coming to court in Black Maria.”

“He ought to present himself under the attentive gaze of the court on the accompanying conceded date or be obliged to do in that capacity,” Justice Olatoregun centered.

Obanikoro is asserting against Fayose, who was his accomplice in the Peoples Democratic Party before he (Obanikoro) betrayed to the choice All Progressives Congress
